Core Web Vitals — Core Web Vitals are three Google metrics for real user experience: LCP (loading), INP (responsiveness) and CLS (visual stability).
Quick answer
“Good” thresholds at the 75th percentile: LCP ≤ 2.5 s, INP ≤ 200 ms, CLS ≤ 0.1. Field data (CrUX) matters, not just Lighthouse.
The three metrics
- LCP — how quickly the largest visible element renders;
- INP — how quickly the page responds to interactions (it replaced FID in March 2024);
- CLS — how much elements shift during loading.
Field vs lab
Lighthouse measures a single simulated load. Search Console and CrUX show real users’ experience over 28 days — that is the data Google uses.
